A U.S. astronaut set a document Saturday for the longest single house flight by a lady, breaking the previous mark of 288 days with about two months left in her mission.
Christina Koch, a 40-year-old electrical engineer from Livingston, Mont., arrived on the Worldwide House Station on March 14. She broke the document set by former house station commander Peggy Whitson in 2016-2017.
Koch is predicted to spend a complete of 328 days — almost 11 months — on board the house station earlier than returning to Earth. Missions are sometimes six months, however NASA introduced in April that it was extending her mission till February.
