Deerhoof have introduced their new album Future Teenage Cave Artists with two new songs: the title monitor and “The Cherished One.” The album is due out Could 29 by way of Joyful Noise. Take a look at each songs beneath.
With the title monitor, Deerhoof stated in an announcement that they “needed to specific what it appears like figuring out that the rebels are our solely hope. As we speak’s derelicts, romantics, and kids are compelled to be tomorrow’s heroes.” Future Teenage Cave Artists contains 10 authentic songs and a few Johann Sebastian Bach (“I Name on Thee”), for good measure.
The band celebrated its 25th anniversary final 12 months by reissuing its first three CDs—1997’s The Man, the King, the Lady, 1999’s Holdypaws, and 2001’s Halfbird—on vinyl for the primary time. Deerhoof’s final album of authentic music was 2017’s Mountain Strikes; they donated the proceeds from the album to the Emergent Fund, a corporation that helps grassroots actions in marginalized communities.
